St. John's is right at the eastern tip of North America, next to the Atlantic Ocean, so one might easily imagine embarking on a world trip to various destinations across the sea. It is interesting to note that I was travelling with two companions who happened to live at one time in Bristol, England. Surprisingly, despite still being in Canada, we were closer to Bristol than home in Edmonton.
