The Whale Watching Every year, the students of Montessori School of Corona spend a month studying whales and ocean life, culminating the unit of study with a whale watch on the Pacific Ocean. Timed to coincide with the migration of grey whales and their calves, students look forward to seeing whales. Usually, they come back with tales of a wonderful trip with sightings of dolphins and sea lions. Sometimes they get the chance to see a whale spouting or breaching in the distance. Very rarely, do they come back with tales of close up sightings of whales, but when they do, they are thrilled! The 2003 Whale Watching field trip, was the trip of a lifetime for the students, teachers and parents of MSOC. Click on the names below to share in their adventure. |
