Our Mission

Newspaper Editor
Pottsville REPUBLICAN & Evening Herald
Pottsville, Pennsylvania

I was born in 1952 in East Orange, New Jersey.  My father was an executive with American multi-nationals so I was raised in Central America, Singapore/Malaysia and Spain.

I majored in English at Colgate University and then went into newspaper work, primarily in New England and upstate New York.  I am Editor of the Pottsville (Pennsylvania) REPUBLICAN since 1990.  Before that I worked at the Buffalo News.  I am active in professional organizations, serving as president of Pennsylvania Society of Newpaper Editors and other organizations.

My wife, MJ, is in community planning.  I have two sons: John is in college and Joe is 7.
