"Tahoe Memories"

by Craig W. (age 13)
California

We were snowed in at Tahoe,
Oh what a day it was!
Snow forts and snowball fights,
Filled our day with glee.
Thawing in the jacuzzi,
Steam floating in the air.
Wind blowing, snow falling,
A perfect winter wonderland.
Lake water frozen over,
Ducks sliding and slipping everywhere.
Trees are bent and crooked,
From the weight of the snow.
Candies, gifts, hot chocolate galore,
Inside the warmth of our cabin.
Laughter, love and family,
Reunited again at Tahoe.
On our way out the door,
Exchanging goodbyes.
Memories are made and treasured,
With hopes of coming back again.
