Hello from Oklahoma, the "Sooner State"!
Deer Creek Elementary School is located in a rural area in Edmond, a suburb of Oklahoma City. We have about 400 students in our K-5th grade school. We have four 1st grade classes. There are 19 students in our class: 12 boys and 7 girls. We like to write in our journals, read AR books, and take AR tests on the computer. Our special project for Christmas is writing books for our parents. Mrs. Straughn, our principal, will go up in a hot air balloon if we meet our reading goal. She is scared of heights! We love reading the post cards. Have a great year!
