Greetings from Trinity Christian School!
We are located in sunny Spring Valley just 11 miles east of San Diego. Our 3rd grade class would like to share some facts about our beautiful county. San Diego is home to more than 20 museums and a world-famous zoo. San Diego is the birthplace of California. Portuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo landed in what is now San Diego Bay and claimed the area for Spain on September 28, 1542. Cabrillo National Monument commemorates the arrival of the Portuguese explorer and provides a spectacular view of San Diego's harbor and coastline. Our year round temperature averages 70.5 degrees Fahrenheit, which allows us to enjoy our beaches beyond the summer months.
