On this postcard you can see the wall in Berlin that divided the city into west and east Berlin until November 1989. The wall fell on the 9th November, 1989 and in the last 15 years they built modern houses on the area you see on the upper photo. It is the Potsdamer Platz with many shops and theatres. But the line of the wall is still marked with little stones on the ground so people will never forget that difficult period in German history.
