Germany
This is the fairytale route "Deutsche Marchenstrasse" which starts in Hanau, Germany where the Brothers Grimm were born. It is about 600 km (373 miles) long and connects 70 German villages between Hanau and Bremen. Jacob Grimm was born in 1785. His brother, Wilhelm, was born in 1786. They published "Kinderund Hausmárchen", literally translated it means: "Children and House Tales". The brothers believed that folktales were important to everyone because they spoke to the universal dreams, fears and joys of mankind. On the card, you can discover some fairytales, such as Hansel and Gretel, Sleeping Beauty, The Bremen Town Musicians, Pied Pieper and Red Riding Hood.
