Programming and Testing On-Site at NASA (JPL)

The children from Montessori School of Corona were given the unique opportunity to demonstrate their Mars Rover Project at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Open House on May 18th, 2003 in Pasadena.  They teamed with students from Mesa Union School in Ventura, to demonstrate the project on three different student created landscapes.  "Be sure to check out the exhibit on your right, as you enter the building."

All day long, the children rotated positions, talking to some of the thousands of people who came past their exhibit at the entry to the Mars Tour.  When not speaking to people, they worked on their programming to make the rover's movements more precise.
