This is one of about 30 illustrations for a book about ecology written by my friend, Jo Robinson. The book got some nice praise in The Whole Earth catalog, published around 1971.

I think this page was meant to illustrate what would happen to all of us if we didn't start getting active about our consumption of air, land, oil, overpopulation and so on... not to mention chemical and radioactive pollution. Of course, we don't have to worry about those things, now that we have such enlightened governments all over the world. :)
