As a young man, Bob Olszewski would paint scenes from his life experiences. At age 21, while attending the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA, he painted this railroad crossing. Painting outdoors gave this painting a natural feeling. Bob captures a moment in time. I can almost hear the cars as they crossed the railroad tracks as Bob painted, patiently awaiting the arrival of the next freight train. I can almost feel the rumble of the train as it disappeared into the distance.
