Dear Friends,

I've been traveling about Europe by train and I will tell you all when I return home. I took a side trip to Broadstairs in Kent and met a kind old chap who gave me his top hat. He told me all about the great writer Charles Dickens. Did you know that Charles and I celebrate our birthdays during the same week? He was only three years younger than I. I don't recall if we ever met but perhaps I'll meet up with him in my travels someday.
