Kentucky is known as "The Bluegrass State" because of the grass that has bluish-purple buds. The Kentucky Derby is a famous horse race run the first Saturday in May here in Kentucky since 1875. Kentucky is well known for raising tobacco. It is also Abraham Lincoln's birthplace. Kentucky has the longest cave in the world: Mammoth Cave.
