Railway to Mount Ali

These two postcards display the railway to Mount Ali.  It is one of the Taiwanese people's most favorite trips.  Not only the special railway up to the mountain, but also people appreciate the magnificent sunrise's panoramic views on Mount Ali.

It is indeed a great pity, Taiwan does not innovate much for the tourist industry.  The Portuguese had had a good reason why they had named this island "Formosa". :)

When we say the word “island”, most people think of white sand, beaches and palms.  But not Formosa with her high mountains covered with greens and untouched nature.  Taiwan became interesting to visitors mostly from Australia, who love hiking and mountain climbing.
