Malta
Valletta is the capital city of Malta. It was built by the Knights of St. John in the 16th century and it was named after the Grandmaster Jean de la Vallette. This magnificent city is surrounded by huge and strong fortifications which are great examples of Renaissance military architecture. Valletta houses a selection of Baroque buildings and works of art. St. John's Co-Cathedral, the Auberge de Castille and the Manoel Theatre are among the places all tourists visit while in Malta.
