Germany

On this postcard you can see the Dome.  It was badly damaged in World War II.  The communist government in East Berlin did not want to spend any money to rebuild it, but they started to rebuild it shortly before the wall fell with money from the west.  Now it is restored beautifully and many tourists go there just to look at the gold ornaments or to join a service.  It is very close to museums and art galleries in the historic city centre.

In the background you can see the famous TV Tower which is about 300 metres high.  In the ball at the top there is a restaurant that turns twice in an hour so you have a beautiful view over the city.

All the best from Berlin
