Alberta

Here are some dinosaur bones found near Drumheller, where there's a large fossil bed deposit from the Cretaceous epoch.  Continued fossil excavations continue in this south-eastern region of Alberta, and paleontological research occurs in the nearby Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology.  A dinosaur found only in this region is called Albertosaurus, a member of the Tyrannosauridae family.

Caption: The bones of a crested hadrosaur or duck billed dinosaur, are dug from the dirt in Alberta's Badlands where they have been buried for 75 million years.
