A Real-Time Chat with …

Michelle Mock

Second grade students in the bilingual English/Spanish classroom at River Glen had their first Imagiverse Chat with Imagiverse co-founder Michelle Mock.  The chat was coordinated by parent, Marc Siegel, who provides information about his first experience on the classroom side of a chat at the end of this transcript.

River Glen: Hi Michelle

Imagiverse: Hola a todos los estudiantes en el segundo grado en River Glen.  ¡Mucho gusto!

River Glen: What is your Bio URL?

River Glen: que es  tu favoreto actor.

Imagiverse: Mi actor favorito?  Me gustan muchos.  Johnny Depp y Orlando Bloom en Piratas!!

River Glen: que haces en disny landia

Imagiverse: Yo trabajo en las atracciones: Walt Disney Story/Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Jungle Cruise y The Enchanted Tiki Room.  Esta tarde, trabajo en "The Enchanted Tiki Room".  Los pájaros y las flores cantan!  ¿Has estado en Disneylandia?

River Glen: que tu vas a unos juegos de disneyiandia.

Imagiverse: Sí.  Voy a Disneylandia para trabajar, pero es tan divertido es como jugar.  Me gusta mucho ir a Disneylandia.

River Glen: si e ido a dislylandya

Imagiverse: Te gusta Disneylandia?  :-)

River Glen: as isido un actor.

Imagiverse: No entiendo tu pregunta.

Imagiverse: Si querías saber si he visto algún actor... sí, el actor Nicholas Cage vino al Walt Disney Story y me escuchó hablar de la oficina de Walt Disney.

River Glen: isistes muchas cosas en disnylandia?

Imagiverse: Sí, he hecho muchas cosas en Disneylandia.  He trabajado en Haunted Mansion, Star Tours y Astro Orbitor.

River Glen: que  es   tu  tipo  de  nave espasio favorito?

Imagiverse: Me gustan mucho todos las naves que van a Marte.

River Glen: (Marc) We are leaving now, but we'll read your responses later

[Editor's note: Read Marc's feedback on how the chat went from his perspective in the classroom.  No corrections were made to the questions input from the students.  These students were second graders writing in Spanish which was their second language.  They learned Spanish in the classroom.]
